Business: Sim Land Reveal Financial Difficulties

Post  Conor on Sun Dec 14 2008, 14:52

Sim Land's Financial Director, Harry Junction, today gave an announcement on the world's financial crisis and Sim Land's situation:

With the pound sterling and Sim Land's money, falling an all-time low, Harry Junction stated that people needed to know about the financial crisis, and how it has hit Sim Land. Jameson Media cut 1,500 UK jobs earlier this week, which sparked rumours that Sim Land will do the same.

Harry Junction stated:
"Due to the current economic crisis, Sim Land can announce that several sub-companies will be sold. We are trying our hardest to make sure that no staff are affected by this."

Sim Land are currently looking for someone to buy Kinder Simmers, although no buyers have been spotted by the press or anyone else. Junction also revealed Sim Land's profits, before the economic crisis and now.

Harry Junction confirmed:
"Before the economic crisis, Sim Land were making quarterly profits of £21.3 million. Now, we have only made £12.2 million."

The revelation of the falling profits has sparked rumours that jobs will be cut, despite Junction saying their won't be.

American Difficulties
The problems in the UK have also happened in the US. The United States Sim Land Director announced that eight of their HQ's in the States will close down, leaving only three, the first in Washington, the second in L.A and then the third in California.

The losses across the globe, have caused Sim Land to be looking for a new buyer, which has not yet been found.

Will the situation improve next year?
