A movie idea (please help me with this....)

Hi everyone, i've got a really good idea for a new movie, or a show (depends). But the problem is, it's really heavy for a sim show. I'll tell you what it's about, and i'll tell you why i have fears of doing it...

The movie is about a family, the mother, the toddler and the child. They have now got a step-dad who promises to help the family with it's difficulties. Once the man marries the mother, things change. The step-father begins to mentally and physically abuse the two sons, without the mother knowing. The abuse continues at the home, and the step-father pretends that the child is hitting him, so the mother becomes and alcoholic (to block out all the bad blood etc). The step-father then gives the boy and toddler to a man, who used to be a murderer. He attacks the two boys quite a lot. The Child decides to make a bid for freedom (with the toddler obviously lol). When they do, the bump into an old couple who take them in as their own children (gran children if you like). A month later, the two kids hear that their mother has died from a severe attack, which they assume was made by her new lover. (The kids don't tell the "grandparents" about the step-father bit cause their mum may get in trouble too) The child tells the grandparents everything about what has happened. They plan to get the step-father sent down, but as the police and the grandparents head out to get the violent man, he learns what has happened to the two children, so he makes for the old couple's house. (He writes a note to the people that will arrive at his house later). Once he gets there, he attacks them both again, this time, really hurting the toddler :sad:, the police arrive back to find the man attacking the child again, and he is taken away in handcuffs. In prison, he gets beat up just like he did with the children. (I don't know what happens to the toddler yet...so i'll leave his fate until i know). The Child is then grown up by the end of the film, and has a wife and two children who are now living happily.

Okay, that's the movie/show. But here's why i'm struggling to do it...

1) The latest story with Baby P, it may be seen as similar, as the toddler is attacked a lot (and he may die too). This can bring some bad criticism.

2) She may not do, but Madeline McCann may also be mentioned by people that don't agree with it.

3) Some people may have been through this in real life, and they may want to forget about it.

So what do you think? Any idea's which may make it better? Or should i forget it completely? I think if i do it, it will be better as a 4 part drama like TLOBG.

I think it's a good idea, and maybe put a warning up on the website saying if you have issues with child abuse then don't view it. Sadly this kind of thing does happen, and i think the show idea is a brilliant one, the only problem would be getting the pictures right with the torture scenes and the alcoholism scenes. I'd view it though - I think the Sims is often viewed as quite fairytale-ish - it needs to get to a deeper, darker side of life.

That's what i was thinking, the problem has not been tackled properly with Sim shows, and a lot of teens(or children) would read it more.

The alcohol scene's may not be that hard...just make them drink a bottle...or something...maybe...dunno lol.

The toddler scene's would be difficult, there is no way i can get an adult to push a toddler or anything (there hasn't be one invented, and even if there was, i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i used it ).
